‘Dust of Snow’ is a short poem written by Robert Frost. This poem tells that even a simple movement has a large significance.
The way a crow
shook down on me
The dust of snow
from a hemlock tree
has given my heart
a change of mood
and saved some part
of a day I have rued.
The crow and the hemlock tree express the poet’s bad mood. But, how the crow shook some dust of snow from a poisonous tree helped the poet realise that he should stop wasting the day by regretting it and instead utilize the rest of the day.
